Our guide was a
cool old guy named Ed Davis. He was an experienced flint knapper of 40
years. Later, at the little ranger trailer, he made Eve a beautiful
arrowhead. "A genuine fake!", he modestly exclaimed as he presented it
to her. He had to hurry off to take his wife to the doctor. "I hate to
chip and run", he said, smiling, as he drove off.
